VOLUNTEERING WITH VIKING BACKERS PICKLEBALL PROGRAM

The Viking Backers Pickleball Program was created in Summer 2021 with the following goals:   

• To raise money for the student programs at Mt. Hebron High School! 
• To gather our Mt. Hebron community in a fun and active setting!
• To grow the sport of Pickleball!   

We are always looking for adult and student volunteers (we gladly sign off on volunteer hours!) to assist us in managing and growing our program.  If you’d like to help us with any number of jobs including, but not limited to, please send us an email to pickleball@vikingbackers.org with a subject line such as "Volunteering" and we will reply back to you quickly to discuss.   Or click here to directly sign up!

How can you help?

• Setting up nets (about 30 minutes for 2 people) 
• Taking down nets (about 30 minutes for 2 people) 
• Doing data entry of scores / managing the league results
• Greeting players at sign-in table Hosting league and/or drop-in nights
• Helping teach new players the basics of pickleball 
• Planning clinics / tournaments 
• Photography / Video Recording 
• Bringing us creative ideas on how to improve our program!!
